Chinese Style Garlic Sweet Ribs

Chinese Style Garlic Sweet Ribs

This recipe take about 1 hour but can be tackled while preparing other dishes.

  • 2-4 pounds Porc Ribs (cut into small pieces)
  • 1 bulb of Garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups of Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoons oil (peanut, corn, grapeseed or canola)

Put the oil in a large pot and place on maximum heat

Throw in ribs and garlic and stir for five minutes.

Add sugar and stir constantly.

After five to ten minutes or stirring, you should see the sauce getting darker. Once it is really dark and caramelized in the bottom of the pot, add water to top of ribs. Do not cover pot.

Bring to medium heat and stir intermittently for 30 minutes to an hour.
Top with green onions (optional)

Serve.
